If Gwyneth can wear Birkenstocks, I can wear Birkenstocks.

If I could be anyone else in the world, I'd be Gwyneth Paltrow. 1) She's talented; 2) She's married to Chris Martin; 3) She's beautiful; 4) She's won an Oscar; 5) She's married to Chris Martin; 6) She has a great sense of fashion; and 7) Chris Martin is the father of her children.

The Coldplay concert last night in Dallas was amazing, and words can't really express how I felt during several of their songs, such as The Scientist, Fix You, Little White Shadows, Clocks, In My Place, Swallowed in the Sea, Till Kingdom Come, a cover of Ring of Fire, etc. Some members of the audience were just sitting there, relaxing and taking in the show as if there were sitting at home watching them on TV. I say that if they have come all the way from England to put on a good show and give us their all, then it is our responsibility as fans to give our all to them in return. I sang every word to every song and am surprised I still have a voice. Concerts aren't what they used to be, I imagine, back before the days of MTV and iPods when concerts where the main way to see your favorite bands perform. I still enjoyed myself and hopefully didn't annoy too many people behind me by standing up the entire time.

But then your baby's name would be Apple, and that would be stupid.

If Chris wanted to name the baby Banana Nut Bread, or Raspberry Smirnoff, or Tree Frog, I would let him. Because he's Chris Martin.

I'm naming my kid Banana Nut Bread. That is, if I ever have kids, and if Social Services doesn't take them away on account of my being a generally shoddy father, see for example naming my kids after dough products.

But if it works out, I've got dibs on Banana Nut Bread.

You know, since last night at about 9:20ish, the name Apple has been growing on me. I hope they name the second one Grape.
